(Anonymous) 2017-03-25 12:37 am (UTC)(link)I also get a kick out of the people who talk about how the last time they saw their family member/friend, that person made a point of saying, before they left, "If something happens to me, my spouse did it."
...and the person they say that to just...lets them go. No asking them to come back in and stay with them, or asking them what they meant by that, or offers to call the police if the situation's getting to a clearly dangerous level. I mean, I know sometimes people's hands are tied and that you can offer all the help imaginable to somebody and they can still push you away, but I dunno, if a friend or family member said something that ominous-sounding to me, I just don't think I'd let it go at that without saying or doing something in response, you know?
