A couple suggestions

Some writers include a playlist in the author's notes, though I don't care for song fics, I don't find that intrusive at all - if you want to go find that music and give it a listen, you can, if you don't, you don't. Also, a line or two of lyrics at the beginning or end of chapter is okay - if it's more than a verse, I find it a little exasperating. It has to be fairly easy to disregard for me because some songs really rub me the wrong way and take away from my enjoyment of the fic.
