Re: Breath of the Wild
I don't find traveling tedious, and I'm pretty good at rain-climbing for short distances, but god damn COOKING. That's my tedium bane. It's like, "Well, shit. I'm out of heart boosting foods. Time to waste a half hour building my stock back up".
Re: Breath of the Wild
(Anonymous) 2017-03-25 04:17 am (UTC)(link)I don't find cooking time consuming at all but I usually only cook a few things at a time and then go replenish if I used a bit of food (you can also skip the dancing food if you want.) I do try to stay stocked because I learned my lesson being under leveled and out of food on the first boss I ever fought.
Climbing though can be really tedious if you are trying to get to certain peaks, and sometimes climbing the full mountains works out because you find things (mainly Koroks.)
Rain climbing will only get you so far in certain areas though, there are some where I literally had to wait for the rain to stop or else I'd need to abandon my current goal.
My biggest time consumer right now is finding materials to upgrade armor.
Re: Breath of the Wild
Once I realized I couldn't update the lady Gerudo clothing, my heart was too broken to truly care about The Fashion of Zelda again.

(Anonymous) 2017-03-25 05:44 am (UTC)(link)And haha same! I wanted to upgrade my lady gerudo clothing. It also kind of kills the motivation to use it in the desert if you're trying to fight monsters (I stick to the shadows or fight at night, I only use the gerudo clothing when I must.)
I may give up on the armor quest eventually but so far it's been fun and forced me to explore more. What's interesting about the game is there are a lot of areas that are not important to the main quest at all so you could avoid them completely if you really wanted.
