It just seemed to stay true to the focus of the original rangers, which was very much Friendship! and Believe in yourself!

I enjoyed all the action stuff as well, but I just genuinely liked all of the characters. They seemed very well developed as individuals and not copies of the original rangers even if they are technically copies.

Were they different characters in the movie? Personality wise? Compared to the old TV show, I mean.

Definitely. I mean some of the core traits were still there (ie leader!Jason and nerdy!Billy) but they seemed much different and more developed than their TV counterparts?
