I just listened to a podcast about this movie (even though I haven't seen it yet): Gen Pop - A Pop Culture Podcast, if you're interested in having a listen. There is one dissenting opinion and one who though it was fine. I never really considered what a cash cow it must be for Disney - they don't have to come up with any original material if they just keep doing remakes of their old classics. And BatB has already made half a billion dollars.
