I'm not arguing over how you feel, man, just pointing out that people can't read your mind and so have no way of knowing that unless you tell them. I've had (mostly drunken) conversations that went, "Well, I wouldn't necessarily mind if I dropped dead tomorrow, oh lemme tell you my profound (drunken) musings on death!" that didn't end in anyone thinking I was heading for a meltdown. You're apparently so tuned in to people's tone when it comes to what they say to you, maybe you can try modulating your own.

Oh please, once I was young and overly convinced of the uniqueness of my sufferings too. Those are my tried-and-true How to Talk About Your Depression Without Sounding Like a Cry for Help advice, but if OP would rather continue to pretend people are just "fake" then they clearly aren't all that invested in trying to talk about this with others.
