Re: This or That
(Anonymous) 2017-03-27 01:14 am (UTC)(link)If you've got that much saved, look into doing a day trip. Certain tours are definitely well worth it. You haven't said where you're going and if you feel comfortable enough, I can maybe pinpoint more specific answers. If not, no big. I assume you're going solo, just be cautious. Feel free to ask the hotel/hostel/lodging staff for suggestions, they know the areas and haven't guided me wrong yet. (well, other than the time I unknowingly ended up in the middle of a gay pride protest/parade in Paris)
I love traveling new places.

Depending on season, the tulips are really pretty in the countryside of the Netherlands.
Since it seems like you're more interested in exploring, definitely ask around about day trips. Since you're solo traveling, I find doing day tours help with keeping away the loneliness but that's because I'm an extreme extrovert and need to see people.
I use citymaps2go so I keep all my cities in one place. It's not the best as far as restaurants/shops, but for major sites and roads it's super helpful for giving me general direction.
