A lot, but not as much as it has in the past. It used to be 75-90%. Now it's 35% tops.

I have convinced myself that I am a pretty cool person on my own terms, which is a long and arduous process. This helps reduce the neurotic response; I can reframe it as getting excited, like "oh wow I want to do x y z with this new friend", because I'm more secure in my personality, goals and interests.

But I still get nervous, especially if they're cute.

Does that make sense?
