I think MTV did a show some years back where two girls pretended to be in a relationship for social media attention and shit.

Yeah, but one had actual feelings for the other, and it was heavily implied that the other liked her back, but was confused about her sexuality. It wasn't entirely fake.

One of them was actually a lesbian though, and the show was largely about her figuring out her sexuality. The premise sounds bad, but the drama itself was a legit exploration of queerness.

DA. She wasn't a lesbian, she was more bi/no label/sexuality is complicated.

She ended up with a girl in the finale!

Also thought it might be this show but read about it in 2014 last. Otherwise ... no idea bar that one Korean show where a dude pretends to be gay to live with a girl roommate and nope, did not see it.

Faking It was incredibly gay
