My Dad had that hairline at 24...

And what about now?

Passed away 14 years ago, he was much, much balder by that point

Some guys do. It does make them look older than their age. Both can be true!

My dad's had a high hairline his entire life. He's now 61, he often gets mistaken for being in his forties, and he has the hair of a twenty-year-old. The high hairline is just genetic. My grandfather had an even higher hairline, and when he passed away at 87 he still had a decent head of hair (though it was entirely white by then).

That doesn't negate that certain hairlines are associated with certain ages and are key markers of age in most people though. If your dad's hairline was at what an average 40 year old man's would be at his entire life, then it's no surprise he gets mistaken for 40something when most 60 year old men are balding or have way less hair. Hairlines and especially having a full head of hair can make you look younger too!

True. I just can't relate to you on this, because to me a high hairline doesn't make me think a person looks older.

If a person is balding then that definitely ages their appearance. But I can almost always tell the difference between a high hairline and balding.
