PR Jr is much more focused on design rather than drama in the work room. However, they are essentially young teenagers and it can be very obvious in the way they talk and act and yes, design. But a lot of the times, if the adult designers are just out of fashion school, they're facing the same problems but for different reasons. (Design teachers can really screw you up and twist you in knots.)

Last season, I wanted to hit all the kids over the head with a vocab book. And while the complete scholarship to FIDM is nice, when I was in fashion school, no one took FIDM seriously. So, a partnership with Parsons or even OTIS would be better for their careers. (I wouldn't recommend my alma, Academy of Art, to anyone but maybe it has gotten better.) If this was Britain, I'd say St. Martin's.

But being on these shows is really more about exposure rather than winning. Make it to top 6 and you're almost guaranteed a runway show in PR. Even if it's just a fake out show for the audience.
