Don't watch Chopped or Project Runway but the others I have/do.

SYTYCD Junior I was on the fence about for a while but eventually it grew on me. Masterchef Junior I've liked pretty much since the start.

Though in general it's like someone else down there said...with the kids they don't pop up all these horrific sob stories as they're introducing them the way they seem to do with EVERY SINGLE OTHER contestant on a reality show when they're adults.

And the drama factor is hugely reduced in general. No snippy catfights or yelling. Lots of cute teamwork and pats on the back and it's nice to see a softer side of Gordon Ramsay.

I really appreciate the lack of sniping and how most of the kids are just generally decent and likeable. And also, I could watch Gordon Ramsay being sweet and patient with kids all day.

Sob story contestants really piss me off. The show's supposed to be about TALENT, I want to focus on the talent not on why I'm supposed to feel sorry for the person. I get that they want to humanize/evoke empathy, but come on. We don't need 10 minutes of crying from every contestant about whatever Huge Tragedy happened to them last year or whatever.

Damn, I feel like a meanie having said that, lol.

Some of the stories can be interesting but when it's every other person (and you know they're probably only spending this much time on that person because they're going to make it through the first round...) it just gets old. Like, I'm sorry person? I understand you had a bad go of it? I don't want to be unsympathetic but all of your compatriots just took the last of my sympathy...

Also: it gets extra annoying when I'm watching for talent and half the ep is taken up by backstory and then they show you a quick montage of all the people they DIDN'T let you see perform or whatever. Like, why can't I watch them too? Oh yeah, BECAUSE YOU WASTED HALF THE EPISODE.

(I'm not bitter, promise.)
