I haven't heard of them doing drugs or anything in years, although of course that doesn't mean it's not the case. Just saying.

Anyway, I don't know that I blame MK for having drug problems. I honestly knew they would be troubled even before they were; at some point in middle school I realized they barely had their own identities. There were dolls. Not Michelle from Full House dolls, Olsen Twins dolls. And in a lot of their movies (and a show) they had their own names, although sometimes one would play the other. It was very creepy.

SA - got cut off. My point is, yes, they're clearly troubled (or used to be), but I also think they were bound to have adjustment issues. They didn't get to choose anything about their acting careers.

I've never really thought about it before, but I'm a twin who really struggled with the early teenage years when I was going through the usual angst of trying to figure out and be taken seriously in my own identity with the added frustration of being lumped in as a component of "the girls," so I can't even imagine the pressures of being a child star giving way to having a public status with that lack of individuality. Yikes.
