Re: Most Favorite Accents

Most English accents (yes, even Cockney lmao), Australian, Kiwi, "big city" American accents, Irish, Scottish, German, etc.

I'm from Midwest US, so I've always felt we have the most plain, boring accent lol. When non-Americans do the "Hello, yes, I would like to purchase a cheeseburger from your fine establishment" impression of Americans, that's pretty much us.

I worked at a call center in the Midwest briefly, and I remember them saying that's the reason so many call centers are located in the Midwest - that plain accent that's easy to understand. What was funny is that I'm from California, and when our calls would start coming in from Californian customers, I was much better at selling them stuff than my Midwestern counterparts, but in the Midwest, my accent made me less successful.
