Why do you dislike Raven so much? I'm genuinely curious. I've only seen S1 and a handful of episodes for S2 and S3, but she's always come off as one of the most likeable characters to me.

I don't watch the 100, even though I have peripheral knowledge of it, and I forgot that Zach MacGowan had joined the cast.

So at first I thought this post was about Raven/Charles Vane (Black Sails). And at first, I was like "people ship that"...and I then I thought about it, and I was like "I could totally see myself shipping that" based on what I know of Raven.

So now...I kind of ship Raven/Vane, even though I've never seen an episode of the 100

I have like the biggest crush even on that guy. Is Black Sails worth watching for him and his character?

Honestly, for me, his character was the show, along with Max, Anne, and Jack.

I don't know if it's the character, actor, or both, but Vane has this really magnetic presence about him. You can't help but be drawn in by him, even when he is at his most deplorable. Plus, he has all the best lines.


Also, he has a fair number of sex and/or shirtless scenes, if you are into that.

I'm really curious how this works, like, emotionally? You hate her, but not for her personality or the things she does, which presumably don't change in name-replaced!versions of fics, which you still enjoy? What do you hate? Or is most of the fic OOC enough for her behavior not to bother you, because it's easily divorced from the character in the absence of her name?

I don't care that you hate/dislike/dad about Raven, OP (I love her, and IceMechanic is my shit), I just want to know about this fic you're using. Share the wealth OP!

Also to the Raven/Vane anon above, do it. The only reason I cared about him in 100 was because of S1 Black Sails. On its own though, I love all of the black sails characters, the show is amazing and is exactly what a show about piracy during that era should be like (much love to PotC, but rose coloured glasses are not on with this show).
