Re: What do you pay for rent?
(Anonymous) 2017-04-09 12:58 am (UTC)(link)This rent is SUPER low for this area, I got into this building when they were only charging $875/month and they can only increase it a certain percentage per year for existing tenants (they can jack up the price to whatever they want if someone moves out and they're advertising a new tenant). Average rent in this area for a one bedroom is about $1100+ and you won't get a 2 bedroom for less than $1400 likely unless it's a basement apartment, and I've never been a fan of sharing a house with strangers.
I'd say it's not quite city (I live technically in the GTA, but in one of the peripheral cities, not downtown Toronto.

(Anonymous) 2017-04-09 01:01 am (UTC)(link)Do you like where you live?
Re: What do you pay for rent?
(Anonymous) 2017-04-09 04:10 am (UTC)(link)Haha, same. I live in a pretty yuppie area close to my work, so the biggest risk is probably getting mugged for my starbucks giftcard. XD
I like the area, it's city enough that there's lots of shops and amenities, but it's not overcrowded or anything.
