Mortgage is six hundred a month, utilities (elec/water/sewage) are about 200 a month or less, depending. Higher in winter (they jack the prices). Internet is about 70 a month, about a hundred if we got cable again.

It's good for the area, because we're in the middle of Missouri, but right outside a huge Army post, so they tend to jack up the rent/prices on stuff 'cause the govt pays for so much of it (via housing allowance for soldiers).

Oh - three bedroom/two bath house with full (semi-finished) basement. It's a 'wet' basement, which means water seeps in when it rains, so the washer/dryer and litter boxes and stored stuff are up on pallets. And there are bats in the attic. :)

Man, I'd almost pay extra for bats!

I don't mind them too much (a lot less mosquitoes, that's for sure!), but they roost right over the front steps/window, so that there's bat poop right where we have to walk into the house - gross. And they poop on stuff in the attic (though they're mostly between the attic walls and the outside).

And at least once every year, a wee baby bat will fall from the mother and land in the yard or somehow be alive on the walk, and no matter what I do (carrying it up to the attic, putting it up high on the wall so it can climb up, etc.), they inevitably end up right back down on the ground and die, which sucks.

So, pros and cons.
