Re: What do you pay for rent?
It's good for the area, because we're in the middle of Missouri, but right outside a huge Army post, so they tend to jack up the rent/prices on stuff 'cause the govt pays for so much of it (via housing allowance for soldiers).
Oh - three bedroom/two bath house with full (semi-finished) basement. It's a 'wet' basement, which means water seeps in when it rains, so the washer/dryer and litter boxes and stored stuff are up on pallets. And there are bats in the attic. :)

And at least once every year, a wee baby bat will fall from the mother and land in the yard or somehow be alive on the walk, and no matter what I do (carrying it up to the attic, putting it up high on the wall so it can climb up, etc.), they inevitably end up right back down on the ground and die, which sucks.
So, pros and cons.
