I really think you're overlooking or ignoring what should be understood with the wbole 5k thing: I want to be able to run it or finish in a decent time. Not spend two+ hours walking it and be the last one to finish by a long shot.

Also, I love how you're an expert on what everybody should be able to do "short of disability." If you've never been morbidly obese, you really don't know what it's like to literally walk a mile in our shoes, let alone three.

In other words, you're disabled. That probably should have been stated up front.

Disabilities and conditions aren't the same thing.

Sometimes this is true, but morbid obesity is a disability under federal law in the US and UK.

Nice job spreading half truths. In the US, morbid obesity only qualifies as disability when in conjunction with other things.

Actually, you're describing the necessary conditions to qualify for disability benefits. It's an ADA-protected disability because by clinical definition morbid obesity substantially limits one or more major life activity. You know, like being able to walk more than 2 mph for more than 20 minutes.

And now you're completely disregarding and blatantly contradicting the information provided in the original post. Clearly, you're just seeing and saying what you want to see and say...I guess so you can feel right and righteous? Have fun with that.

How do you figure? 30 minute workout with warm-up and cool-down at less than 2mph and unable to break 3mph for more than a minute in there. Also, you're completely ignoring any facts that blatantly contradict your false claim that that morbid obesity isn't a legal disability in the US. Do you think there's something wrong with being disabled? Have fun with being ableist, I guess.
