Hmmm, must've been the particular site I was on. There was a lot of Ron love there. And all my RL friends love him. Of course, I get a lot of crap for liking Harry, so I'm not one to talk ;)

You're right, it depends on what section of fandom you're in. I shouldn't have sounded so incredulous, sorry. I'm just thinking of all the fic where Ron becomes a wife-abuser or a homophobe to strengthen the fic's ship. Ron is a bit of a jerk, and not to smart about it either, so I can totally see why someone might dislike him.
