#12: HALLELUJAH, AMEN. I am beginning to think (scratch that, have ALWAYS thought) that fans who write her parents this way do so because they're teens themselves who are convinced that their own parents are TEH EVAL for demanding that they clean their rooms, impose 10PM curfews, and won't let them drive the car to the mall. Her parents may be as flawed as anyone else's, but they seem pretty normal. I even recognized this when I watched the film as a teen myself.

#29: Yeah, they're my evil robot OTP, as well. :D

#62 OH YES, THANK YOU. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! EVEN IF I'M PROBABLY GOING TO HELL FOR IT NOW.

Nice to meet you too :D (And awesome to know that Matrix fangirls still exist, I'd begun to think that we were a dying breed)

12 op here.

THANK YOU. I can't stand it. the girl (love her to death) who showed me the movie when we were both in High school (my first time seeing it, poor me) was CONVINCED that Sarah's parents were the most evil people EVAR. And I'm just like "Um, no, Sarah's a whiny little tard. How can you BLAME them?"

Oh yeah. I couldn't make it through the new graphic novel, pretty and shiny or not, because it kept on with the mischaracterization of the parents.

People who think Sarah's stopmother is bad should rent and see Hellraiser. :D
