You might just have to accept that you're in a demographic that doesn't really watch or talk about that stuff outside of the context of their kids.

IME, on Twitter, with cool and reasonable people, it tends to be one thing out of many that they talk about. Of course, your mileage may vary, and finding cool and reasonable people is non-trivial.
