LOL are you from my city, OP? Cause we have a station that plays mostly classic rock, but it'll slip in stuff that totally isn't.

We also have a station that plays soft metal and hard rock and then they'll randomly throw in Evanescence (which i don't really categorize as that much).

Probably any city with a classic rock station could say this, because probably 90% of classic rock stations in the US are owned by 1 or 2 companies and programmed largely off central playlists

Not a lot of regional variation or independent radio around anymore at all
