2: I know bashing is incredibly vexing, but in this case you're only really punishing yourself. The manga really is awesome (I love the anime too, though).

10: I don't know, I'm pretty serious about some of my ships, in that I don't want to see them with anybody else. That other people disagre doesn't bother me at all (in fact, I prefer diverse fandoms, it makes them more vital).

14: Well, manga and anime have all the genres of regular books and films, and then some. It would be hard to hate them all, I think!

25: Nononono, it's not masturbation! They're not like all the other nobodies, right? They're special, it's even in the canon! I have this elaborate plot for them to work in a canon-compatible fanfic, even...

26: Hah, Japanese? Try the other one, it's got bells on. Protip: if you're going to play the xenophobic Japanese card, be sure to include disdain for the rest of south and east Asia, hm? Especially Korea.

43: Two things: First, what fandoms have you been in? I started out in GW, FFVII and YYH about eleven years ago, and they were just as filled with sex as any new fandom. Second, what's wrong with sex? It's a perfectly natural human activity.

Yeah. And the way people go on about it is irritating. And it tends to eclipse all the more interesting perfectly natural human activities that characters can engage in. There's nothing wrong with sex, there's plenty wrong with oversaturation.

I disagree. Both about the oversaturation (and who decides when this occurs anyway?) and that it eclipses everything else. Generally I've found it quite nicely balanced. For every bad romance fic, there's an equally bad gen "humour" fic...

I have to agree with this, too. Bad humour fics that are on some kind of unsomkeable insane crack are just as prevalent and terrible as bad smut fics with ten inch ~~love poles~~ dicks. Ditto for terribly bad angst/suicide fics.

Bad stories are everywhere, not just in one category.

OMG, the GW fandom WAS SEX. It's what they DID.

It made me virtually unshockable. XD

That reminds me of a reply I saw at a Korean entertainment fan forum, subject being DBSK. One said something in the area of "not like you're gonna marry one of them" and one replied with something like "don't say that because I believe it will happen. My feelings are hurt."

If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't so one shouldn't hold their breath.

Next best thing is Fantasy Land. That place is awesome.

Its NOT going to happen, taking into account that the secret in this case is is a troll.

The sooner this goddamned fandom realises that theyre probably never going to even get to see their idol the better and they don't need you of all people to tell them they have a chance.

Well, it may have to do something with the fact that I started with different fandoms, but as I got into more during time, the change is still apparent.

I don't have any problem with the sex that is there in adult fanfictions and so, because many seem to enjoy reading/writing about it, so let them do so. My only problem is that when it's a constant subject in everday conversations, but that's not just fandom, it's everyday life. :(

Well, most people are really interested in sex...? I mean, I know it can be irritating to not share an interest in something that's very popular, but what can you do?
