As for the comms, they're alright (well, except for this one small incident that happened in one of the comms that I'm a part of.. but I will not speak of that). I've only ever had to unfriend one of them, and that was because it started getting WAY too much badfic. I think this fandom used to be better during the summer? But maybe I was just really blissfully oblivious back then. Now the shippers and the Sylar fans scare the hell out of me (Seriously! They are INSANE, and this is coming from a Mylar shipper and a Sylar fan).
That being said, I've made some pretty awesome friends in Heroes fandom.

Heroes was worse over the summer, if you mean between s1 and s2. That's when I got really fed up. I thought it couldn't get worse, but then s2 happened. I'm not really talking about funny wank like the astral plane one, those are brilliant.
And I'm sorry to say it, but I think TWOP has its brainless moments and creepy Sylar fans, too. It's just that you're so integrated into it and know the people involved that you might not see it. Then you guys emigrated to LJ, and I have to say, your lack of prior LJ-fandom experience (and apparent general fandom experience) makes me cringe. You're not bad people, but codes of conduct and terminology are different, and when the small wank on this comm about Eclipse broke out, I wasn't surprised to see it was a person originally from TWOP who was the object of it.
What incident in what comm do you speak of? I'm curious now.

Yes, probably. To be honest, I don't really participate in fandom that much. I just find my core group of friends, and stick with them. I'm not very active in communities and stuff like that, I normally hear about the wank from other people.

LOL, yes, I agree. There was one poster who thought that Sylar would make a great father, and Maya should have his baby because it would make up for the loss of her brother. *facepalm*

I thought that whole incident was blown way out of proportion. That person clearly didn't read her LJ entry about it, and didn't get the whole story. It was not as bad as it sounds, really.
