No offense, but where exactly did you expectations for realism enter the Overwatch picture in the first place?

Was it when you saw the talking gorilla?

(Anonymous) 2017-04-20 10:47 am (UTC)(link)
talking moon gorilla. a brainwashed sniper that turned blue because of low circulation. some guy who died and can now disintegrate at will. japanese men that can summon spirit dragons.

I think it's more ridiculous that the world governments were just like, "Here, robots, you can just HAVE Australia. ...Oh, there's people living there already? Sucks for them, lol."

If we have to give up a continent, that is the best one for robots to gain and humans to lose.

We're not talking about blowing these robots up. We're talking about Australia. Beautiful part of the world. They love it. They can have that as theirs. They can stay down there, we can stay up here, everyone's happy.

Yeah, I know. That is why I said robots can have it. It is separated from the other continents which is good for humans. It is super sunny which is good for robots if they use solar power. Robots will also be immune to all the deadly Australian critters.

And once the robots get their shit together, they can open up some nice vacation spots for human tourists.

They didn't tho. Australia had a lot of unused land that was being used for sweet FA, they gave them huge portions of useless land, and then the Australians where like "Oh, fuck no. That's our useless land, lets attack those nuclear powered fucksters. Once they attacked the NUCLEAR POWERED fucksters, they made even more of Australia useless for all but ragtag survivors and robots who don't care about fallout.

Lets be honest, it was human intolerance that made Australia uninhabitable of anyone not omnic.

Jesus, I'm really Soc-jo today, eh? #EndMechanicalApartheid

That plus insanely good aim, and the experience and willingness to use it.

I do think he will be the first story related death, tho.

(Anonymous) 2017-04-20 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
Would there really be story related deaths though (without miraculous resurrection plots)? Seems weird for a game where the characters that could be killed off are playable characters...

Well, canon and gameplay are not exactly super close in this game, are they.

(Anonymous) 2017-04-19 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
This is Blizzard we're talking about here. Ridiculous and lore-inconsistent is their hallmark. :P

The gun only has 6 bullets too.

(Anonymous) 2017-04-20 10:27 am (UTC)(link)
"6 bullets, more than enough to kill anything that moves"
