Thor. Spike from Buffy, but only for smutty fics (I don't much actively ship in Buffy anymore, but oh boy does Spike make for some nice porn). Mairon/Sauron. James T. Kirk. Dean Winchester (though many with women, Alistair, and Castiel though I'll read other things).

Loki and Steve Rogers for MCU. Castiel for SPN. Charles Xavier from X-Men. Stiles on Teen Wolf. Leonard "Bones" McCoy on Star Trek.

Generally my favorite character ends up becoming my fandom bicycle.

Yeah my fandom bicycles are usually just me loving the character so much I'm willing to try any ship with them.

For me it is that I run out of fics for my favorite pairing. And then for the pairings I sort of like. And then I am left with those weird crack ships I said I would never read.

Steve used to be mine in the MCU, but the ship wars killed a lot of ships for me. I still love some ships with him, though.

Oh, especially G1 though. G1 is the bicycle-i-est jet ever. Even moreso than my favorite shipping bicycle jet.

I end up with one in pretty much every fandom, and it's usually my favorite character. I start with a general OTP type of thing, then slowly just want more and more with one side of it, then I just want that one person with everyone. And it's usually the one in the pairing that nobody writes about, because my brain is contrary.

Bucky from MCU, Hawkeye sometimes. Rodney McKay at one point. I like Derek Hale with a lot of people, but I'm picky about it so idk if he counts.

That might be it? It's not something I get very often.

When I got to thinking about it, I actually don't have that many.

Most recently Hijikata Toshizo from Hakuouki. It would be easier for me to list the characters I don't automatically imagine doing inappropriate, kinky things to him.

The only other one I can think of is Riku from Kingdom Hearts.

Since no one's answered this yet: I've never had one. I'm incurably monogamous with my OTPs. Not saying that to harsh on anyone's love of their fandom bicycle(s), though.

Anybody else here never had a fandom bicycle?

Yup. I mean, live and let live, if a fic looks good and it doesn't contain my otp I will probably still give it a chance. But I've never had a character who I constantly, actively wanted to see paired with everybody.

I can't say I've been 'incurably monogamous' with my ships in the past, but I've never really had a fandom bicycle either. I'd have, like, two ships with the same character. Nowadays I am pretty 'monogamous' with my ships, so I'd just smash the two ships together and have the character be in a closed poly relationship.

Like, I shipped Pepper/Tony in the Iron Man movies and I found myself shipping Bruce/Tony in The Avengers. Sooo, Bruce/Pepper/Tony is my shit now. c:

Hee! I get this. I (mildly) shipped Pepper/Tony too, but then for a little while after the first Avengers I really liked the idea of Steve/Tony, so in my head I basically started thinking about whether I could dig Pepper/Tony/Steve. Ultimately I didn't end up becoming fannish enough about the MCU to go anywhere with that idea (plus, if I were to be fannish now, The Winter Soldier would have me shipping Steve with Bucky pretty exclusively) - but anyway, yeah, I definitely get what you're saying about not wanting to give up Pepper/Tony, while still being interested in seeing Tony with someone else.

Actually, I feel like if ever there were a character who was begging to be a fandom bicycle, it would be Tony. I've only ever been interested in seeing him with Pepper or Steve, but when I think about him with other characters, I'm basically like "Yeah, I can see it."
