honestly? yeah. like i've been wanting to share it with a few friends but i can't even get them to enjoy some letsplayers ( ... including the mcelroys again welp) and i just don't think i can sell "don't even WATCH just LISTEN to some randos who have no idea what they're doin play dungeons and dragons it'll be great"

Oh man, I'm the same, only with Critical Role (which is a huuuge time commitment as well with episodes that are 3-4 hours long, at times even longer. I saw a statistic that said it has stacked up more hours in the two years it's been going on than the Simpsons has in 30 years...).

I just want to share my love for these nerdy-ass voice actors and the story they're telling with everyone I know, but no one is interested, which I get. As you say it's quite niche. At least the fandom is usually quite cool.

I've gotten a few same age friends to listen to it, but it is a hard pitch. "Story based podcast using D&D as a medium" doesn't have the same ring that "hey watch this show" does. (Not to mention, even with some nerds, they are either put off by the D&D aspect if they aren't into tabletopping, but if they are sometimes they get annoyed that they don't follow D&D rules closely enough/sometimes drop them entirely)

I've recently gotten into podcasting and briefly considered checking this one out. I admit I wasn't crazy about the D&D aspect. But this secret has me reconsidering! I really enjoyed listening to the D&D plays on Harmontown (though they play fast & really loose with the rules) so maybe I'll enjoy this too...

It's really, really good! I don't care for other D&D podcasts because they're much more about "listen to other people play a game." TAZ is more like a radio drama within the framework of D&D; I think any fantasy nerd would really like it.

I love radio dramas (and fantasy) so this really sounds right up my alley!
