I figured everyone was too busy obsessing over the blue raccoon girl to care about anything else.

Are you saying that the people who wanted Cora as an F/F option are arguing against bi Jaal? Because from what I've seen, the nastiest pushback to bi Jaal has been from the straight women who romanced him with their female Ryders.

Members of the fandom are very quick to justify their ship preferences with LGB stereotypes.

This is what I've seen, too.

It's bi Cullen all over again, the people who wanted Cora and/or Cassandra as an f/f option also tended to support bi Cullen while the Solasmancers and straightCullen-mancers whined about us queers ruining their game with queerness.

I thought the drama was from them cutting Jaal being bi like they did with Kaidan in first game?

Did not get as far and did not see any romantic interests besides Cora (Liam is not bi, is he? He is the only one I would romance thus far).

Also am not sure if Cora also did not get cut like Ashley but I do not know, heard the drama with her hair but it goes in various ways - there are dudes wanting her more stereotypically feminine (to them) and those who insist she is lesbian-coded.

To be fair, Andromeda had looots of love interest drama - one character is apparently a lesbian strictly and dudes also complained about that (I think that is the navigator?). There was also lack of species for gay male character which is true and cannot say human ones are better as maybe it is a grand plot but still did not see any potential options.

It is a fun game though, just has performance issues (I have to change settings in every place).

I like the game but I am still SO FUCKING SALTY about the shitty m/m options.

Reyes who's a background NPC criminal scumbag, and Gil who introduces himself as the super spontaneous gay dude who then decides to settle down and have a child with his best girl friend? (I know I'm not the only gay guy who thought that whole plotline was borderline creepy.) Meanwhile the next most prominent gay character can wind up drunk in a slum because his boyfriend is dead... It's the goddamn OT all over again. :(

bi Cora would have been great along with bi Jaal, but lesbian!Sara at least gets two squad romances (including the longest in the game) plus a Tempest romance. Vetra was a great qt spiky gf, but all I wanted from MEA was a homo-husbando to take on space adventures. ;_;

So ... one dude is an antagonist (well, might be interesting but not much for being background) and the other runs off with his friend? Worse than I thought >.> . Might go joint the drunk dude in this game.

Nah, he doesn't run off with his friend. If you romance him he just kind of suddenly announces he's having a kid with his friend oh and btw I guess you're an uncle/father-figure now! It's really bizarre and jarring, and maybe it's somewhere in the dialog but I've seen a lot of people who played the romance wondering whether or not Gil's just the sperm donor or if he's going to fuck his friend or if they've suddenly wound up in a poly trio....

Avitus (the drunk) is amazing and I love him forever, and tbf he can have a happy-ish ending. But I'm not thrilled that once again Mass Effect gays are being relegated to the sad widower roll and weird afterthought plotlines.

Sad widower roll xD ... unfortunately fits as I romanced Steve in 3rd :/ while I really wanted Joker to be an option.

Personally, would find it weird if someone randomly just involved me with their kid, never mind if my boyfriend suddenly told me he is going to be a parent. Not sure if their method matters but sounds more like poly (checked on wiki and it does not help - says dude is gay) which would be fine but ... if everyone was informed about it.

I kind of want to witness that baby trainwreck but at the same time, I bet it would have 100 sidequests about diapers if they continue the series.
