:(

That really sucks, OP. Please know I'm sending good vibes/thoughts your way.

In my experience (limited, and not with clinical depression)
1) does your school have mental health counselors? If you don't have insurance, that might be a good option to discuss your current situation) 2)friends are always there for you or should be (It's east to feel like they won't care, or they'll be annoyed, but you shouldn't be afraid to share these thoughts with them).
3) don't reduce your current experience. I tend to think "well, it's not like I'm starving, being attacked and I have nothing, etc" to reduce the fact that yes, what is happening in my life is affecting ME. And it is a big deal to ME. And that's okay.

4) do something that helps you relax or put you in a better state of mind, painting, writing, walking outside, etc.

Again, I'm not a mental health professional by any means, I just am sharing what has helped me/friends. I also recommend meditation (and/Or prayer if you have any spiritual beliefs). Talking to someone really helps, instead of keeping it all inside.i wish you the best, OP! And good luck moving forward, with everything.

Sa

I just realized you asked how to turn off your emotions. I've tried, failed, and felt even worse during the attempts. I'm sorry I can't be of much help :(
