The premise is pretty simple. Basically she fights evil by moonlight while winning love during the day. She never runs from a real fight, either. The girl named Sailor Moon, I mean. She never turns her back on her friends and is always there to defend everyone, so she's someone you can really depend on. There's also a Sailor Venus, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter with all the new secret powers they've found, but the main character is Sailor Moon.

Well, those are kind of terrible examples. I don't even know what the upper right one is supposed to be? I wouldn't want one, but I think it's possible to have decent fandom tattoos.

I'd recommend watching the original 90s anime Sailormoon S (subtitled.) If you don't at least like that season, you won't like Sailormoon.

It's the third season and the good thing about Sailormoon is it's easy to jump into. Plots are all season based and most basic background info you should know just from what your friends have talked about.

Those are all just horribly drawn. I think Triforce symbols can look cool. Anything that is more of a symbol and not a character can make for a cool tattoo.

Yeah they (re?)printed Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon about five years ago. I still have....three or two.

The manga is still very 90s. It's a lot shorter then the first anime but IDK if I'd recommend it over the first anime since the television adaptation had stronger plot and character development.

There's also a new Sailor moon anime called Crystal, but it's pretty much crap until the third season.
