I mean, I recall R always comparing them to duos from classic literature (like, specifically the 'arguably homoerotic' side of classic literature?), but it's true I don't remember him doing so, like, directly to/in front of e... so I guess e's only real complaints would be the drinking and the not-being-committed-to-the-CAUSE.
