Question for finger prickers

[personal profile] thewakokid 2017-04-27 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
So, if you have a condition where you need to regularly prick your finger to get blood out, do you ever find that you bleed like a stuck pig and wind up with far more blood than you need?

Do you then have the irresistible compulsion to draw with your excess blood?

I have papers on my desk at work with oodles of doodles drawn in wako juices. Is that as weird as it seems?

Yes, sometimes I have extra blood. Yes, playing with/saving it is weird.

So you never feel the compulsion to, I dunno, draw a happy face on a notwpad with e blood?

No. Every now and again I'll rub the blood dot over a nail on my other hand, like I'm painting it, but I almost immediately clean it off, because I mostly just feel a compulsion to make my finger stop bleeding in the fastest manner possible.

Oh, I'm the opposite. I have to restrain myself from making the finger bleed more. I never give in, but there's always the nagging idea that I'd like too see how !ich it could bleed.

And another piece of the puzzle falls into place.

My friend used to do that in school. She was pretty normal and I never really thought much about it.

OK, one check in the "Normal" column.

I've always done it, like peeling the label off bottles. Just feels natural to me.

But I caught myself today and thought "What if somone sees this?"

I have to inject myself and I've never drawn anything with the blood but I do put it in my mouth. My blood is tasty. Don't know about others' blood.

If it were my finger bleeding maybe I'd draw. More likely that I'd drink that too.

I agree, your own blood is... Not tasty per se, but it has a satisfying flavour.

Damn, its looking like I am an oddball

It's tasty to me.

Drawing sounds normal to me, as long as you're not hanging up the drawings as art or displaying them to someone else or something weird.

DA

If I'm not mistaken, I think I might have once (or twice) incorporated my blood into a piece. I can't remember. My tears most times, tho.

I once wrote a spooky letter in period blood from my menstrual cup. A fictional letter mind you, but it was still real blood lmao.
