What movie/show/game has a stupid sounding premise...

But the execution made it amazing.

I will never not take the opportunity to plug the 21 and 22 Jump Street movies.

Kingdom Hearts. Disney Characters + Final Fantasy Characters together while your protagonists wields a giant key.

The Lego Movie! Who would have thought an original movie about Lego would be so amazing.

Oh man, I feel almost exactly the opposite about KH. I thought Disney + Final Fantasy sounded rad as fuck, and I was super excited, but found the actual games to be massive letdowns. (Though maybe it's more just that I genuinely couldn't stand Sora, everything else was kind of okay.)

Hm. I have not played them since they came out. I wonder how I would feel about them now.

Shadow of Mordor, despite not being accurate to canon, and despite sounding just strange, is a pretty awesome game.

Lego Star Wars. Kind of sounds stupid. But awesome. Really, really awesome.

Really? Well, to each their own. I thought Shadow of Mordor was one of the worst games I've played lately...

I had to be talked into watching Rick and Morty because I am not a fan of Back to the Future and Rick and Morty is now my favorite cartoon, does that count?

What even is Rick and Morty? Like, I've seen some of the art and I've elevated people mention it, but I've never cared enough to really dig in.

Rick and Morty is H.P. Lovecraft with a sense of humor, what Futurama should have been and never was, and what the Back To the Future movies would have been like if they had actually had good plots, the Michael J. Fox character was a lot dumber, and the Christopher Lloyd character was a cross between House and an evil Hunter Thompson.

Melissa McCarthy's "Spy." It's actually very underrated. (Doesn't help that it premiered alongside "Mad Max", which got credit for being a feminist action movie - but "Spy" was as well.)

Pretty much all of Joss Whedon's stuff, except the MCU stuff.

Also, I thought Dollhouse was even worse than the premise made it sound, so I guess not Dollhouse either. But the rest.
