39. Heh. I tried reading that a while back. I got fed up because there was no plot, it was just all 'o hai lesbian sex and kinks'. And the author sort of came off as a bitch as well.

50. Dude. I'm 21 and I still want to fly off with Peter Pan. Don't feel bad about it.

64. I lurve vampires. But I hate them in ruffles. HATE. Goddamit, just because they've lived for x amount of years, doesn't mean they can't fucking adapt. I want my vamps in jeans and hoodies, or possibly business suits, trenchcoats and boxers, modern clothing and no FUCKING RUFFLES AND VELVET. Unless you're Terry Pratchett.

72. Hahahaha.

82. Hehe, dumbapples... I don't give a flying shit what people say, I love the whole godsdamned Compilation. Erm, sorry. Just tossing that out there.

64's OP

To me, vampires tend to look dark and clean-cut, but ambiguous. Basic black everything, normal pants and shirts, suits, long coats. (Though girl vampires can go a bit dressier, but still mostly modern.)

Yeah, I will admit to having a thing for vampires in long coats. I think it's that the ruffly shit makes them stand out too much, and really, what self-respecting vampire wants to advertise the fact? Or be thought of as some goth-y poser kid. Possibly I think about this too much.

82. I agree wholeheartedly. Then again, I've never pretended to be anything but a SquEnix whore. I love all things ff7 to a degree far beyond anything that could be rendered in mere text. Even in scrolling flashing sparkly multi-coloured 60-point-font. I'm playin' through the games in the hope that they'll somehow decide not to go to Nibelheim T_T. Turn back, you fools, turn back!

64: Could try 'Staked' by J.F Lewis? I just finished it. Eric drives a Mustang and runs a strip-club. I had some problems with it-- he suffers from Whiny Vampire Syndrome at first and the characterization didn't pick up till 2/3 of the way through. On the other hand, I've laughed aloud every few pages and the dialogue is awesome. Writer also gets points for different-and-clever vampire lore, what with the whole 'blood is the only bodily fluid we've got' and all XD Careful though, it's part 1 of 2, with 2 not out yet, and it doesn't 'end' so much as 'kick you out of the movie theatre halfway through the film'.

I hear ya on the obsessive love. And dunno if you've played through the game (Crisis Core) yet, so I won't spoil it for you, but the whole ending sequence (not just the CGI video but what comes before too) broke me goddamn heart. I want to replay on hard mode, but it's going to kill me again. As for the rest of the Compilation, I haven't played the cell phone game, but I bought AC as soon as it came out and I've watched Last Order on YouTube. I have a friend, and I love her dearly, but I wish she'd shut up about how much she hates AC. Apparently the story wasn't told well and the fight scenes were too frenzied and amazingly enough, a CGI movie based on a video game wasn't realistic enough. Okay then.

Thanks for the recc, I'll add it to my list. I'm always up for some good humour, and vampires yay.

I'm currently playing through Crisis Core ^^ On hard mode, naturally \o/ and the cut-scenes keep making me squeak embarassingly so I can't play it in public. I haven't played the phone game either but I've gotten my grubby paws on everything else. Shame about your friend harshing things for you though :c Everyone has things they can't stand but there's no need to belabor the point.

Hey, ever played Valkyrie Profile?

Fangs for the rec? XD

Haha, my mum thinks I'm a dork 'cause when I got my PSP and first loaded up CC, I went running to show her all gleeful.

No, I have not played Valkyrie Profile. Is it good? Another Squeenix game?

Haha, yay puns. People hate me for loving puns.

Eee, you have a Jak and Daxter icon! Love for that. The Jak series is one of my favourites.

All of my relatives know I'm a dork ^^; they'll just have to deal. And people only hate you for the puns 'cause they wish they'd thought of 'em first!

Jak and Daxter was good times ^^ plus I adore any game which has whack-a-mole minigames.

Valkyrie Profile is Tri-Ace (Enix for the ps, Squeenix for the psp) and it's amazing. I've played it 8 times so far. I'm having a hard time not just waving my arms and running in circles. Um. Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valkyrie_Profile) here. It's loosely based on Norse mythology, and the dungeons are awesome and varied. There's also a lot of freedom with the storyline, as all of the dungeons are optional, as are many of the cutscenes, depending on which characters are in your party as you go into any given dungeon or town.

As a chooser of the slain Lenneth (main character, one of the valkyries) can hear the last moments of souls worthy to be heroes, so she goes to collect the newly-slain to train them for the war in Asgard. So there are three plot-lines; the events in Asgard (with Odin lying to everyone and Loki causing trouble)(you get to see how your warriors do once you send them up; equiptment counts!), the events in the human world, and Lenneth's own storyline. It's also superficially like the old Suikoden games in that, based on your choices throughout the game, there are three different endings you might get. And you get to pick which characters you keep in your party and which you send up, and God I want to play it again now. I gave my copy to my friend for her birthday though, and won't be able to afford a new one for a while ^^; But yeah, I highly recommend it!
