I got a friend into /b/, who in turn got a (huge) RP on LJ nearly in its entirety onto /y/ and /cm/. I have the slight suspicion the faggotry spread from there.
One thing I have to say, though: No matter how many newfags there are, I never had as many intelligent discussions of any given series as on /a/ and /m/. Even /b/ is occasionally more intelligent than LJ.
