10. I've seen a few OCs work. Most of them tend to overpower the story. I think the secret is to have the OC in no more than 40% of the chapter/fic/whatever, and to never write from their perspective.

Meh. If you're going to ship pokemon with each other, it's kind of got a built in weirdness factor. This is the fandom that gave us HSOWA, after all.

37. Anybody who's not a slasher is instantly called close-minded. Even if they do like some slash, just not the pairing the fangirls are pushing on them.

Thing is, they didn't say "I don't like slash." They said, "OMG so many people prefer slash to het and I see so much of it THAT FRIGHTENS ME." Maybe that's not homophobic, but it is completely ridiculous.
