And veeeeery occasionally psychological torture fic works for me, but I usually don't admit that to anyone, because omg, I am so ashamed. /o\ I own most of my kinks, and will defend them to the death, but the fact I am capable of finding stockholm syndrome hot disturbs me sometimes.
I do like sweet happy fluffy relationships too, but I can't deny screwed up relationships appeal. (The reason I'm less likely to be leaving my current fandom anytime soon, is because SPN canon is like fucked up codependency central nowadays. <3 Actually, it kind of always was, but canon seems intent on making the boys progressively more codependent over time. Which is pretty awesome.)
Surely there is some kind of group writing non-fucked-up Master/Doctor fic though? The idea that no one is writing non-kinky porn is kind of surprising to me. Even in SPN, good BDSM isn't posted all that much, and the majority of fic is on the milder end of the screwed-up-ness spectrum. Can't you just build your fannish life around the places where you are likely to find the kind of thing you want, and ignore the rest of the fandom? I mostly hang around places where I'm likely to find the obscure stuff I like, and supplement that with the stuff I like that's easy to find. Is there really so little of what you like that something like that isn't an option for you?
I mean, my attitude is mostly live and let live with fic that I find entirely unappealing, but I can see how it would be very frustrating if there is actually almost none of what you want to read and everyone else has access to stuff they enjoy. TBH, that's what it's like for BDSM fans in most fandoms though. There's not really much you can do about it, other than trying to pimp people with similar taste to you into the fandom.
