Christianity (as well as most religions) is based on hearsay and blind faith.

I DO BELIEVE WE HAVE AN EXPERT IN THE HOUSE. A TRUE WELL-READ LITERARY GENIUS WHO HAS PRACTICED ALL RELIGIONS AND THEREFORE CAN MAKE A SERIOUS AND INCREDIBLY IGNORANT CLAIM AGAINST THEM AND BE UNDENIABLY CORRECT.

REALLY, CAN WE GET SOME SORT OF AWARD IN HERE? NOBEL PEACE PRIZE? GAIS, I'M WAITING....

I didn't take it as an insult at all. I think it's funny when people make wide based assumptions on things they don't know. Just because you practiced it for twelve years (aren't you a veteran!) doesn't mean you truly understand it or can make such a stupid assumption about it.

And saying that you didn't say all doesn't take away from the fact that you still made a, YES, IGNORANT, assumption about MOST religions. Have you studied them in depth? Have you practiced them enough to know how they're run? No, I really doubt you have.

Faith really isn't that simple either, love. I really don't know why you think you have it figured out. Take a note out of history's books; I know that I know nothing. No one is able to say such definitive things about religion or faith.

Next time you reply to someone, don't assume you know ~everything~ about them, let alone exactly what they mean because goddamn, you got it all wrong again ♥ :D

O SHIT I WENT OFF ANON GAIS OH SHIT OH SHIT. Lol, god forbid.

Show me where I suggested I know everything? Again, reading into things that aren't there, what?

It really doesn't.

... What? Suggested that you felt what, where? I suggested that you probably didn't know what you were talking about, yeah; at least the previous person was able to quote the bible to prove their point. I never suggested you feel anything. Really, you need to work on reading comprehension because it feels like you're pulling what you want out of this to indulge your personal drama. :\

It was way off track when you made tired assumptions about most religion and faiths, darling. And I don't know, maybe it's the way you type because there's -that- assumption that -I- also agree to disagree. Maybe "Lets just agree to disagree?" would be less abrasive because there wasn't a decision made about me without my consent. Seriously, learn how to word things because it'll save you a lot of trouble.

Rofl but sure, conversation over. :D Have a good one.

I think it may be a little untoward to say that nobody takes transubstantiation seriously, because, well... some people really do.

to be fair, a lot of protestant churches don't take it quite as literally as the older churches (i.e., catholics) do. and i don't think i'd call it a cornerstone of faith, but a cornerstone of practice. just a slight slight distinction. of course, my area of interest is evangelicalism, so i'm coming at it with my own biases.

/nitpicking

(not christian either)
