Writing Thread

If I had a power, I'd want it to be mind reading. Honestly, that seems like the most useful power?
For something not usual, not sure. Maybe ability to be in more than one place at once? That would be super useful.

The power to cloud men's minds and not be noticed.
People who can move through solid objects are neat.
Alternatively, someone who can make walls permeable enough to pass through might be interesting.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-04 12:14 am (UTC)(link)I also have been plotting out a fic because someone commented on one of my fics saying they really liked it, but they'd kind of hoped B had happened instead of A, and maybe sometime I could write a fic like it with B? And I figure since I also like B and would enjoy writing it, why not?
Re: Writing Thread
(Anonymous) 2017-05-04 02:52 am (UTC)(link)I also continue on with my pairing fic that is otherwise unobjectionable, but breaks up the second and third most popular other pairings in the fandom. So I'm always kind of sad it gets so few hits, glad it gets the hits it does, and very amused that Ao3 tells me it's got something like 10 bookmarks, all of them hidden. Writing romance and avoiding romance tropes I hate is surprisingly challenging, but I'm going for mutual crushing hard on the other person and convinced the other can't possibly like you back.

Re: Writing Thread
So I'm writing a story set during steampunk 1525 where the villain protagonist tries to use black magic to manipulate the outcomes of the Italian Wars. It's more fun than it seems!
Re: Writing Thread
I love doing experiments like that.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-04 01:25 am (UTC)(link)But I really need to work on the next chapter of one of my two multi-chapter fics. And I need to start working on fics for a pairing week coming up in August. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
