University bureaucracy, incomplete courses, and flunking
(Anonymous) 2017-05-05 02:45 am (UTC)(link)Then I got a new job, my schedule changed, and suddenly I had no free time. I know at least one of my professors is pissed I never contacted her about anything. The truth is I'm anxious and ashamed and while I'm pretty sure I'll finish at least one pile of coursework tonight, I doubt I'll get to them all. Is there still a chance I could retroactively drop the courses? I still have all the required credits to graduate, especially if I finish the coursework I'm on track to finish tonight.
And yes, I know I'll only get real answers if I contact my professors and advisors and maybe the registrar's office. I'm just currently too anxious to do that, and I'm hoping someone has dealt with something similar and had it come out not horribly.

(Anonymous) 2017-05-05 03:55 am (UTC)(link)I can't say for sure how it'll turn out but I know if you're dealing with nice enough people sometimes rules can be bent. But even if they can't, it'll be okay. You can still figure out a graduate, and flunking grades really don't mean anything once you're out of school.
Re: University bureaucracy, incomplete courses, and flunking
I just wanted to say that I've retroactively withdrawn from courses before. It can be done at at least some schools as long as you can get a medical professional to vouch for you having anxiety that made it difficult for you to withdraw when you were supposed to.
