I feel ridiculously lucky that the worst I ever remember was a steam burn on the back of my hand that hurt like a mofo.

Now I was burned much worse as a little kid, but I don't remember that. Basically, kids are much better at getting into shit in the kitchen than many people would assume and my parents found out the hard way. Entirely an accident, I don't blame them a bit, but I am very glad I don't remember it.
