I'm the one who doesn't like beer and would prefer wine, but usually orders a cider so it looks like I'm drinking beer so I don't have to deal with people going "OMG HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE BEER HOW???"

When you say you do not like beer, what types have you tried? Is it just lagers you've tried? There are a lot of types of beers and they all taste pretty different. Some lagers can be pretty unpleasant, how about a nice porter instead?
