Free Comic Book Day!

Did anyone else get a chance to grab some free comics, and if so, what titles did you bring home? I picked up Wonder Woman, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Guardians of the Galaxy, DC Superhero Girls, Lady Mechanika, and Steam Wars. The comic shop I went to only allows people to take four comics, but luckily mom has a friend who likes comics but couldn't make it out, so she got the last two for me plus a couple for her friend.

I also couldn't resist looking through the shop's general selection, as I don't get to go there that often and had a little extra cash today (the yard sales were sparse and mostly overpriced junk this morning), so I also came home with DC Universe Rebirth Wonder Woman #21 and Xena #2, plus a 10-pack grab bag of random comics that was on sale, which contained Jonah Hex #8, Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #18, The Stand #1, Daredevil: The Man Without Fear 30th anniversary edition, Firestorm 29, Lex Luthor: Man of Steel #4, Justice Society of America #41 , Nyx: No Way Home #1, The Flash 227, and Runaways #22.

So, yeah. All in all, I am a very happy camper.

I skipped it. There is only one comic store near me, and it is not exactly female friendly. The owner has added in two extra shelf units and there isn't exactly room for them, it's groper's central in there.

It's really cute, just like last year's FCBD offering! Superhero school's out for the summer and Diana's been invited to stay at Olympus for the whole break. The plot of the comic is her trying to find a friend to go with her only to find that most of them have conflicting plans.

We got there too late for the free comics but they had some Star Wars cosplayers doing photo ops and it was still a fun time. They had some good stuff on sale and I brought home the Triss figurine since it was just £10. Still need Yennifer (£35!!) but Geralt is happy with either of his manipulative women joining him on the shelf.

My LCS has a limit of three. I got the Guardians of the Galaxy / Defenders one, the Star Trek: TNG / Mirror Universe one, and something called Kid Savage. I haven't opened any of them yet. Been busy.
