Uh, no, it's a fair point, seeing as this is literally your first sentence:

"There is no such place as the north pole."

Is being a landmass a requirement for being a pole? This is an honest question,
because we always called it the north pole, even while being taught that there is no landmass. But that was back in elementary, so they might have dumbed it down for us.

Your leading statement is completely bizarre to me because of this, though. Just being ice and water doesn't mean that the region can't be called North Pole.
