Re: Lol the response to this secret
(Anonymous) 2017-05-08 05:52 am (UTC)(link)"I mean, I can't go up and kick a homeless person and say it's okay just because there are other people out there who murder and I'm an otherwise good person. Just admit that what you're doing is being a dick and stop trying to come up with excuses to justify it."
LMFAO the hyperbole. OP nor I are going up and kicking homeless people. Fuck off with that false equivalency bullshit.
If laughing at whiny assholes on the internet and then going about your day is your threshold for "being a dick", I have a secret for you:
Everybody sucks in your worldview then, including you. I refuse to believe you're the paragon of pious virtue and that you've never thought to yourself "wow, that person is an asshole, they kind of deserve that callout". It's human nature to get enjoyment out of shades of "vigilante justice" when you believe someone has done bad things and otherwise has gotten away from it, which is essentially what Kiwi Farms is a VERY mild form of. It's a place to go where you go "thank god other people noticed X person's shitty behavior, it's not just me!"
For instance with my own personal grudge, purplekecleon. Everybody has their nose firmly buried in her asshole because she draws queer flower creatures (which I've come to find out is basically just fetish fuel for her and not such much the "teh awesome queer rep" I originally thought it was when I supported her) and I was noticing all this shitty behavior and lack of accountability and if you were to just go by her rabid fanbase you would think she was the most amazing person ever instead of a lazy scammer who doesn't really give a fuck about the people who support her so she can sit around drawing baseball-bat-dick flower creature porn.
It was nice to find the Kiwifarms thread and realize that no, the entire internet did NOT care more about the fact that she gives them spank bank material than they do about her being a really shitty person.
*Shrug* In the end I don't really care. If you think I'm being a dick then sure, whatever, I'm being a dick. All I have to say is that I think you're hilariously thin-skinned if people calling out shitty behavior means they're all being dicks.
I don't agree with the obsessiveness some Kiwi users have about it, but to basically insinuate that every single person who enjoys those threads is being a dick is ridiculous. I could just as easily tell you that you're a horrible person for finding F!S fun considering the sort of vitriol that gets thrown around here daily. It doesn't matter if you participate in it or not, since it doesn't seem to matter if I participate or not. Simply viewing it means you're a bad person.
Or...maybe life doesn't work that way and people aren't so black and white? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And to think, I USED to like her art way back in the Pokemon days...

(Anonymous) 2017-05-08 07:03 am (UTC)(link)Just because we all make mistakes and do wrong to other people it doesn't mean we all get a pass to do it because "hey, it could be worse."
Part of trying to become a better person is to recognize what you're doing is wrong and occasionally trying to change it.
And if you have no interest in being a better person, again, don't try to justify it. Just own up to what you do.
