If I called in sick (I've never heard the term "call out", maybe a regional thing) every time I just didn't feel good I'd pretty much never go to work. I have horrible insomnia and never get more than a few hours of sleep a night so I ALWAYS feel like crap but that's not a reason to miss work. Unless I'm actually, genuinely sick, I'm going. There's only one person who can fill in for me when I stay home (and she can't always, because she has to go out of town frequently) and she'll readily admit she hates my job and knows she's barely passable at it, so when I get back there are always multiple messes to clean up from her fucking things up. Unless I'm horribly sick I'm not staying home because it's just not worth putting up with.
