Thanks that's useful. And yeah her self-esteem issues are epic, and I kind of hate her family so very much because she's wonderful, and they treated her like dog shit until she escaped. But they're still there in her head.

It's definitely more a problem of her not wanting to disappoint me. She keeps saying she doesn't want to let me down. But of course Afterwards I tell her it's not letting me down to be in pain, and I'd rather know than have her put on a happy face for me.

Maybe I should remind her sometime when we're not in crisis.
