(Anonymous) 2017-05-13 02:16 am (UTC)(link)And Flight to the Ford is my favourite Arwen scene, namely because it's the one scene where she's not acting as the designated love interest, and it makes me curious about what a warrior!Arwen would be like (...not at Helm's Deep, though, that was a horrible shitshow of "hey we got two women in the same location let's pit them against each other AND have them competing for Aragorn AND THEN ARWEN CAN KILL THE WITCHKING"). But it doesn't really make sense for them to introduce her as badass, capable woman and then... make her spend a movie crying over Aragorn and a film dying because Aragorn needs to be motivated to help save the world from Sauron, apparently.
