(Anonymous) 2008-05-24 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)I'm not even that into anime and still get pissed that it's an "honorary anime". It's just animu bullshit with stock characters (yes, all the characters are damn cliche), stilted dialogue and a weeaboo-serving fictional world.
though I don't agree with your whole, "YOU GOTTA BE 14 TO WATCH THIS" thing because I watch things that are made for a younger audience. I just don't think anyone should watch it, 14 or 20 or not, cause it's stupid as hell.

(Anonymous) 2008-05-25 05:10 am (UTC)(link)Asshat words like animu and Weeaboo aside, as far as "anime" stories are concerned I don't think this show is all that special. I don't really consider this show to be anime at all either. But for an american cartoon it's pretty good and I hope there are many more shows produced like this in the future, but I think that it could have been better. Cartoons for children can still be epic and fun without without having to crack lame jokes inappropriately between dramatic scenes. (Batman the animated series anyone? What happened to awesome, serious shows like this?)
