27. I am actually genuinely curious as to your reasoning. Is it because they essentially succeeded in making people pay twice for pretty much the same game? Do you hate the character design? What?

60. Word. On the other hand, it was never really movie fandom in the first place, was it? I ended up looking up G1 canon just to get less lost about who the hell these "twins" were within a week.

Know the feeling - that said all the fanfiction talking about G1 characters got me more interested in the other series.

I wish it would come back too. I've been into a lot of stuff but that was one of the few fandoms I really enjoyed. Though the sheer amount of human/Autobot porn was enough to drive me mad at times.

I cheerfully admit I am a gigantic hypocrite about this, because I would have jumped for joy if someone grabbed, say, Rhinox or Rattrap and used them in their fic. What I mostly object to is that people just used preexisting characters from G1 and kind of shoehorned them in without realizing just how creative they could be with new characterizations. This is part of why I am following tricolora avidly, because she made the effort. It's kind of like a bad crossover, it hurts all the more because you know just how good it could be if they put the effort into reinterpreting the characters.

By the way, I read and loved Format and your PSoH fic Rebirth, I'm just a gigantic recluse when it comes to fic comments. Sorry.

Nah, I don't think they were trolling, much less going for clever satire. Some atheists just think that anyone who follows a faith, especially one with such a bad rap when it comes to manipulating followers (er, Catholicism, not Scientology), is a little less logical than they are (and therefore less worthy of respect).

I know that sounds pretty awful (and it probably is), but I won't pretend that I've never made silent judgments along the same lines before. I just didn't make secrets about them (and can you imagine the list I'd have to make???).
